Barry, Lizelle and their four boys, Frederick, Scot, Lushano, Kian and daughter Zara Gio welcome you to the Frontier Safaris experience.

Barry and Lizelle is the owners of Frontier Safaris South Africa and Namibia and has a very hands-on approach in the hunting business. Due to Barry's absolute love for the industry, he applies his knowledge and expertise to every hunt and one can be assured of an unforgettable hunting experience. He is an expert 4 x 4 driver which naturally ads value to the experience. Having been raised in the hunting environment, Barry is an expert when it comes to game hunting.  He takes great pride in his business and his family.  Barry and Lizelle are also the owners of their South ranch and North ranch in Namibia.

Besides his enthusiastic approach to the hunting profession, he also have a very big love for deep sea fishing. He obtained his skipper licence in Port Alfred South Africa which is well known for it's unpredictable sea conditions. Barry takes the boys every year on a hunting trip and the three older boys have each shot an elephant in Zimbabwe in 2007.  You can see all the hunting photos under the Burchell Family Hunting Gallery.

Barry is married to the beautiful Lizelle who was Mrs. Worldwide 2008/2009. Besides being his partner in every aspect of his life, she is also the Managing Director of Frontier Safaris. Lizelle and their children join Barry on as many hunting and sea expeditions as possible. Having been born in Africa and hunted many species within Africa, Lizelle has an intense knowledge and understanding of the hunting industry. 

 Aside from her love for her husband, boys and daughter Zara Gio,  Lizelle has a deep passion for creating an awareness which focusses on the local community in Africa and have many social activities to uplift the local community.  Lizelle loves the outdoors and also compete on a competitive level in her sport - Dressage and Showjumping.  She is currently competing with two horses (Alchi Alchemist and Ceasars Ambitions) and loves the challenge of the sport.  She is very excited as she is starting to breed with one of her brood mares that will bring her stud to six horses.

She oversees the entire office and lodge's operation ensuring that each staff member takes care of each client in a professional manner. She relies allot on the professionalism you will find from the lodge and office managers.
