Frontier Safari country is situated in the beautiful and historic Eastern Cape of South African. Burchell Game Reserve has a surface area of over 75 000 acres which is home to over 40 species of non-dangerous game which vary from the huge Eland to the rare Blue Duiker. The Eastern Cape is one of Africa’s premier hunting regions. A diversity of terrain ranging from huge mountains to Karoo plains is found on the reserve. Bushman paintings and war time graves can be seen on the reserve. Masada Lodge is built on the edge of a cliff. There are 16 chalets in total – 8 couple’s rooms and 8 bachelor rooms. Each room in this unique stone and thatched lodge has its own en-suite bathroom and spectacular view.
At Masada Lodge you will have the opportunity to sample a variety of traditionally prepared game dishes and South African wines in our magnificently structured thatch Boma. Experience the William John Burchell Lounge with many of his original paintings. We also hunt on other private game ranches in the area as well as hunting in other parts of South Africa if that is what our client needs in order to hunt his trophy animal. Hunting is conducted from March through to October which are our winter months. Clear skies usually prevail with crisp cool mornings and evenings with cold nights. We operate in a Malaria and Bilharzia free area. We are within 40 miles of a drug store and professional medical facilities. Customs clearance is a mere formality if you follow the guidelines on bringing in firearms into South Africa.
